Hansome looked at Leon, arched brows and half grinned. He was challenging him, pushing him.

Leon cleared his throat and tugged at the pages of his sketch book nervously. "Well you know, Alby...If you didn't want to go with Hansome...I'd be happy to take you to prom. If you wanted to go, that is." He said, looking up at her from under tufts of blond hair.

Alby smiled before looking to Hansome and giving him a sympathetic shrug of her shoulder.

"Sorry, Hansome, but I think I owe Leon this one after all he's done for me." She said. "But maybe next time?" She offered.

Leon was walking Alby home after school like he always did. Surprisingly enough, after throwing himself into the boys locker room and laughing his excitement out, he was totally normal after having asked out the girl of his dreams to prom. He felt like his Uncle Dale though, all mushy gushy thinking about what they would wear and how the night was going to go. Of course he wouldn't mention it to Alby. Not until long after they were married with their first kid.

"So, Leon," Alby began as she and Leon took their usual route back to the O'Rourke home, "I know I already said yes to your offer, but I should probably mention...that there's a small catch." She reached up and brushed her hair over her shoulder as she glanced over to Leon, who looked just as giddy as she, admittedly, felt.
