It had been about a month or so since Mikey and Rena had found out that they were pregnant a fourth time over and they had yet to spill the metaphorical beans to any of their friends and family, children included. In fact, the only person outside of themselves who knew of the pregnancy was their family doctor, who they had gone to for a check up just the other day.

And now it was finally time for an official announcement.

Mikey was bringing out the last of the plates of food to table when he called out for everyone to join him at the dinner table.

"Hey, kids, dinner's done!" He hollered.

Rena had been on the phone with Franky when Mikey called the family for dinner. Since they would be needing more room to add to the brood, she thought it a good idea to talk to him about adding on a room to their house. Franky was a very skilled contractor, and he would work for cheap since it's like a favor for a friend.

"Oh, well Franky I gotta go. Dinners ready, but we can talk soon again soon about the plans and all that." Rena said.

"Sounds good, Ena." Franky agreed before the twosome clicked off the phone and Rena exited hers and Mikeys bedroom. On the way out she knocked on one door that was plain and all that could be heard on the other side was the television; a documentary of some sort, something about the Occult.

"Emeline, come out. Dad said dinner's done." Rena announced before heading to the kitchen.

The door opened swiftly enough and a tall gorgeous blonde exited the room. Emeline was beautiful and the spitting image of her mother with the gift of steely blue eyes from her father.

"What are we having so I know if I want any." Emeline inquired as she marched down the hall and into the kitchen; following at her mother's heels.

Mikey turned his head to face his wife and eldest as they entered the kitchen.

"We're having your favorites. We're having potato skins and burgers, now come sit down. Me and your mom have things to discuss anyhow, so come take a seat." Mikey said, gesturing to the table before going over to join Rena at her side. He offered her a confident grin and a peck at her temple.

"Alright, alright." Emeline said as she sat down. "I don't know where the boys are though." She added as she slouched in her chair, looking up at her parents.

Emeline was very smart, and observant and well, she was a lot of things. Her blue eyes narrowed slightly as she tilted her head back, giving her parents a careful once over.

"...You're happy about something, something big." Emeline began. "I bet I can guess."

Mikey looked over to Emeline and chuckled.

"What? We're not allowed to be happy just for the sake of being happy?" Mikey inquired with a cheeky looking grin.

"That's a stupid question, of course you are. But this is a different kind of happy. You're both excited, hopeful even." Emeline explained confidently. "You want me to guess? I bet I know."

Mikey's face fell a bit and he pursed his lips at his daughter. She'd always been a smart thing, always advanced far beyond the average level, but for as long as she'd been on the higher intellectual plane, she'd been on an even lower empathy plane.

"Well, let's just wait for your brothers. Then...I suppose you can guess." He said with a brisk nod.

Emeline saw her Dad's face, seemingly not pleased with her confidence in this instance. She made a slight face of her own, Mikey was her favorite parent and he was always patient with her. Emeline could let him have this.

"You know, never mind. I didn't sleep well last night so my A guessing game is off anyways, another dinner maybe." She said with a half smile as Rena set the table; setting down Emeline's plate.

Just then, the sound of the door swinging open and shut. The sound of heavy foot falls followed swiftly after and the reverberating sound of muffled music. This is how anyone would know that Leon was home. He was a pretty basic teenager, tall from a growth spurt over the summer and toned from his constant gallivanting about town. His messy blond hair was almost always styled in the bed head look for every occasion, and his skin was almost always scabbed, scraped, scuffed up, bleeding or adorning a band aid. This was the image, of a skater boy; domestic and approachable though only docile on it's on territory.

"Sweet! Just in time for dinner." He beamed as he pulled his ear buds off and put his skate board down. Oh yeah, he's always hungry.

He quickly stepped over to the kitchen to grab a plate from his mother; greeting her with a peck on the cheek as he did so before sitting down.

"Smells great, who cooked?" Leon asked casually, munching on a potato skin on the way to his seat.

"Thanks." Mikey said, offering a half-smile of his own as he reached over and gave his daughter's shoulder a squeeze. He looked up upon hearing his youngest son's entrance into the house and eventually the dining room. He offered the boy a grin and chuckled. "It was a team effort, but mostly it was your mom." He admitted.

Just as soon as everyone else gathered and had their plates set down, a quieter kerfuffle was heard from down the hall, followed by the quiet shuffling of feet on the floor. Gregory poked his head around the corner, peering into the dining room, grinning when he saw the food and his familial brood sitting at the table.

"Potato skins and burgers? What's the occasion?" He inquired.

"Does there have to be an occasion? Good people, good food; it all ties together, Gregory." Emeline said as she dug into her potato skins.

"It's not an occasion unless there's wine at dinner, or if someone is wearing a tie." Leon said, with his mouth full.

Rena chuckled at her children as she finished setting the table and seated herself. "Come on a sit, son. Your plate might get cold." She said with a smile. Rena couldn't have been more proud or more pleased with her kids and how they all turned out. She had been blessed with three happy and healthy kids who all represented she and Mikey in different ways. And now, they could add to it.

"Thanks, Ma." Gregory went ahead and took a seat where a plate had been set for him and promptly dug in. Much like his brother he was a growing boy and always ALWAYS famished.

"Well, there won't be any ties or wine for that matter tonight." Mikey said as he took a seat beside his wife, slinging an arm about her shoulders in a casual manner.

"You guys finally decided to take on a life of sobriety? How noble of you, I'm proud really." Emeline said, teasing her parents all the while adorning a humorous grin as she ate.

"Wait, were Mom and Dad alcoholics?" Leon asked then, looking up with a surprised expression before looking to his parents for an explanation.

"Your sister is joking." Rena laughed.

"Barely, I heard the story about Cancun."

"Cancun?" Leon repeated.

"Leon, neither of us were ever alcoholics." Rena answered.

"Leon, honestly, how do you think you came to be? You have only The Captain to thank for your existence." Emeline teased further, stifling her own laughter now. It was fun to joke with Leon because he was so gullible, a lot of Uncle Dale rubbed off on him.

"The Captain?...Mom, did you cheat on Dad with a pirate? Were you seduced by his sea fairing ways?" Leon burst. "I'm an affair baby?"

"It just keeps getting better." Emeline uttered under her breath as she cupped a hand over her mouth to silence her unattainable giggles.

"Of course you're an affair baby, just look at you. I look like Dad, Emeline looks like Mom, you...well you look like the Skipper from Gilligan's Island." Gregory prodded with a cheeky grin of his own before popping a potato skin into his mouth.

"Stop it now." Mikey chuckled, shaking his head at his kids.

"...Is this the occasion? Are you giving me up to the other man? Guys, I've never been on a boat but I don't think I'd like it out a sea. I don't want to wear an eye patch or have a hook for a hand. Please to make me go!" Leon stammered. "Oh man, now I'll never be able to get married or have a family, because all I'll ever think about from now on is that I was an instrument in ruining and defiling a family!" He cried.

"Yes, that's it exactly. Instrument.Ruining and defiling. I hope you're happy." Emeline said with a smug grin.

"Alright, alright, enough." Mikey laughed, shaking his head at Leon. "Leon, you're not an affair baby, you are one hundred percent mine and one hundred percent your mother's. Your brother and sister are only trying to get a rise out of you." He consoled the boy.

"Okay, Dad, you don't have to lie to him." Gregory teased, giving one last grin.
