Butch's heart instantaneously became elated upon seeing Mina's expansive grin, which in turn drew a large, toothy beam from his own lips.

"Thank goodness! I was worried I'd have to keep all this excitement bottled up and have no one to share it with!" Butch exclaimed, all his fluff gushing forth all at once. He took both of his hands and cupped Mina's cheeks, squishing her face in his grasp as he leaned forward and kissed away the trails her tears had left behind.

Mina laughed then, smiling and giggling as Butch showered her with little pecks.

"I can't believe it." Mina said under her breath with a smile as she pulled away. "We're going to have a baby." She said then.

"Oh yes, oh yes, oh YES we are!" Butch laughed giddily as he released Mina's face. Despite the twosome having pulled away from one another, Butch continued to keep his gaze fixated on his wife, his eyes locked in on hers. "And I couldn't be any more excited." He grinned.

It had been about nine months and Mina was quite large and due to drop and day now. Even after so many years after her first and only miscarriage, Mina had taken careful steps to ensure this baby's welfare. She immediately took time from work and eat as healthy as possible, she kept her exercising to the minimum of walking and gentle stretches like the Doctor recommended. And with that being the case, Mina was often home alone with her son, Iggy. Butch was working to support them whilst she was on maternity leave, and Millie was spending all her time with her new boyfriend Jonathan. Which was fine, Iggy was good to his Mommy; affectionate and sweet like his Father. If he wasn't helping her in the kitchen, he was sitting on the couch with her, and if not that, he was laying at her feet in her bed while they watched tv in her room.

Presently, Iggy had stepped out of her and Butches bedroom for something and Mina sat, channel surfing for the time be, picking at a bowl of oatmeal. But it wasn't long before she felt a familiar pull and wetness. Of course as reflex she looked down to see if she spilled her breakfast or maybe peed herself. But that wasn't the case at all, in fact, her water just broke.

"Iggy." She called, slowly moving her bowl onto the night stand as she attempted to ease gently out of the bed.

Iggy had stepped out of the room to wash his own used bowl, as well as grab some juice for both him and his mother, and was just barely within earshot when he heard Mina call. He hastened his walking to a brisk trot until he reached his parents' room.

"Yes, Mama?" He inquired.

"Honey, don't panic. But my water just broke." Mina said slowly, standing up and holding her stomach as she waddled away from the bed.

Iggy stared for a moment before his face scrunched up into an expression of terror and promptly let out a squeaky sound that was presumably a scream. He nearly dropped the glasses of juice in his hands as he frantically shuffled in his place.

"Whaaaat?" He managed.

Mina winced at Iggy dropping the glasses but didn't point it out.

"Iggy, my water broke. I need you to stay calm, and help me out." Mina said slowly, placing a hand on his shoulder to comfort him.

"B-b-buh-buh-but, Mama, that means that the baby is coming, doesn't it? An-an-and Dad's not home for hours and...I don't think the baby is going to wait!" Iggy squeaked as he pouted his quivering lips in a vain attempt to collect himself (lol hardly).

"It does mean that the baby is coming. So I need you to focus okay? Call your Dad while I pack my bag, okay?" Mina instructed, backing away and waddling toward her closet to fetch her sack.

Iggy watched his mother waddle away and resisted the urge to dote on her and coddle her, and instead attempted to bring himself together as per her request. He took a deep breath and then nodded as he scrambled for his cellphone.

"Alright, Mama, I'll try." He said upon retrieving his phone. He dialed for his father to only get the answering machine, which earned a frantic whine and a panicked shuffle. As soon as he heard the BEEP he began with a anxious message. "Dad, it's Iggy. Um, er, Mama told me to call because, well, uh...she said her water broke and uh...Dad, please call back because I'm scared and I don't know what to do...okaythanksloveyoupleasecallbacksoonbye."

Iggy hung up the phone and turned to look at his mom.

"Mama, Dad didn't answer." He said. "But I told him to call back...what do we do?"

"Crud." Mina uttered upon the deliverance of the bad news that Butch didn't answer the phone. That's okay, they'd be okay, they could figure it out.

"Alright son, it's going to be okay. Let me pack my bag, and we'll go to the hospital and we'll call your Dad when we get there." Mina nodded, tossing some odds and ends into the bag.

"But...Mama, how are we going to get there? I-I-I don't drive and YOU can't drive." Iggy said, his eyes widening and his chest starting to heave with panic.

"Honey, you're going to have to drive us there." Mina said. "It's scary, but I need you to do this for me." Mina explained.

Her contractions were about seventeen to fifteen minutes apart, if they could get a hold of Butch in time, he could take them to the hospital. But Mina didn't want to take the risk of waiting.

Iggy looked to his mother with a panicked look in his eyes and a quivering lip, however, upon hearing her reassurances gave a weak-hearted nod and sniffed back his emotions.

"Okay, Mama, I'll try, b-but are you going to be okay?" He asked then, realizing that she was the one who should be panicking, if anyone.
