"Oh, well, I guess things would be different for you guys then, being from Australia and private schools. Well," Jackaby began, "I guess its different in the way things are much more...carefree. You don't have to wear uniforms, there's no 'girls' or 'boys' school. We probably don't have nearly as many programs offered, and the ones we do have probably aren't as well funded, but they're all open to everyone."

The Martin boys hung back a bit, eyeing this Jackaby fellow up and down as he spoke to their sister. They did not like this. No le gusta.

Usually he wasn't so talkative, mostly because people either found him unapproachable and uninteresting, or perhaps it was because HE found others to be the unapproachable and uninteresting ones. However, with Bliss, she appeared neither or. Talking came almost easy.
